Smith
Mountain Lake is nestled in the heartland of the
Appalachian - Blue Ridge Mountains with over 500 miles of breathtaking shoreline
and is home to some of the largest stripers found anywhere at well over 50lbs! Much so, that ESPN
now holds there national fishing tournaments televised right here which now draws international
attention each year.
Many of you might remember the motion picture, "What About
Bob" as it was filmed here at the lake. In the 1990's two episodes of the
newer, Twilight Zone" was filmed here as well.
This site is brand new so
we are adding new information almost daily, while some sections are not

We are a grassroots based organization of lake residents coming together to
better server the lake community, and are a member of the Smith Mountain Lake
