Smith Mountain Lake (SML) is
the fastest growing playground on the east coast, offering over 500
miles of breath taking shoreline. Unlike other large lakes on the
east coast, SML offers beautiful Appalachian mountain backdrops that comes
right up to the water's edge!
The lake is home to ESPN's
televised national fishing championships, home to the fifty three
pound striper as well as the motion picture, "What About Bob". Now
the imaginary town of, Mayberry RFD from the Andy Griffith show is
being built from the ground up and is well underway.
